How to Save A Life, from Entertainment Weekly editor-at-large Lynette Rice, is based on 80 new interviews with the series current and former cast and crewmembers, as well as some of the influential musicians whose music was used on the show. The book covers the drama s humble beginnings, from Shonda Rhimes first script to its polarizing relationships, heartbreaking departures, and memorable guest stars. Three GameStop movies are rushed into development Here s how they all end

Hollywood loves a based-on-a-true-story underdog epic. So it s no surprise there are reportedly already three projects being rushed into development based on the GameStop short squeeze rebellion a story that exploded just one week ago. There s an MGM movie in development from author Ben Mezrich ( Bitcoin Billionaires) based on a pitch titled The Antisocial Network, another in the works from Netflix written by Mark Boal ( Zero Dark Thirty) with Noah Centineo ( The Fosters) attached to star, and a third from a new company that s described as a limited series titled To the Moon. One suspects that one of these three will perform quite well. Another not so much. And the third will likely get shelved along the way. Two competing projects on similar topics have often received wide distribution (Steve Jobs docudramas, Fyre Fest documentaries, killer asteroid movies.), but a trio is pushing it.

The conceit is simple. We show you a person, says Vince, and you tell us their name. But then Vince annihilates Mulaney s unsuspecting character, Doug, who loses out on huge cash prizes because he can t remember the name of his close friend s girlfriend or his wife s bridesmaids. His self-absorption and oblivious misogyny give the setup an extra bite. What kind of horrible game show is this? asks Doug. Replies Vince: It s What s That Name?

Tamzin Merchant breaks silence on playing Daenerys in original Game of Thrones pilot

The then-21-year-old Merchant landed the female lead role in HBO s original ill-fated Game of Thrones pilot that was filmed in 2009. The pilot was famously scrapped and almost entirely reshot due to many issues, and several roles and crew members were replaced along the way. One of those changes: the actor who played the Mother of Dragons.  At the time, the British actress was coming off another hit costume drama, Showtime s The Tudors. She would later go on to join WGN s Salem, the CW s Supergirl and Amazon s Carnival Row which is currently filming its second season. Merchant is also about to launch her literary debut, the young adult fantasy novel
