A road in durham has just reponened after a deadly accident, part of a series of crashes that are being blamed on slick roads. Good afternoon. Im sean mcdonald. Temperatures were one or two degrees below freezing in some areas, causing icy roads and numerous spinouts. Overnight snow and colder , temperatures moved in to new hampshire, creating dangerous driving conditions. Numerous spinouts were reported around the state, and while most accidents were minor, that was not the case in durham. It appears that the passenger icecovered. That was this morning, as emergency crews responded to all kinds of accident as cross the region. According to the States Department of transportation, as their road crews finished cleaning up the snow from overnight, those first calls between three and four started coming in. The temperature suddenly droppedded and the phones went crazy. Just after 5 00 a. M. In durham, police are called to route 4 near the lee line where they believe a 32yearold dover man the path of a tanker truck. It appears that the Passenger Car lost control on the bridge, which at the time was ice covered. They collided in the eastbound travel lane, and the operator of the Passenger Car was deceased when the officers arrived. Reporter just before that, a 43yearold somersworth woman was killed in a single car accident on route 16 in dover, icy conditions also suspected. Rail and subsequently overturned.
