A federal court judge approved a $5 million settlement on Friday after the police killing of Bijan Ghaisar in 2017 following a pursuit on the George Washington.
The family of a Virginia man shot and killed by two U.S. Park Police officers after a minor traffic crash in 2017 said they will use a $5 million settlement to push for changes in laws changing policing standards.
The parents of Bijan Ghaisar gathered outside of the Department of Justice in D.C. on Saturday afternoon asking for help after the Virginia Attorney General decided to end the pursuit of prosecution against the two U.S. Park Police Officers accused of killing their son.
