We visited the grounds and went to the home of david roosevelt, a grandson of president and mrs. Roosevelt, to talk with him about his memories of hyde park and his time spent there with his grandmother. It really was not until my grandmothers funeral that i realized that it really kind of hit me that she was really a special person. And something of a celebrity.
