A two-alarm grass fire burned one apartment building and threatened several others in Antioch on Wednesday, displacing an unknown number of people, authorities said.
Strong winds pushed the vegetation fire toward the a densely populated residential area near Tabora Drive and James Donlon Boulevard on the northern edge of the 80-acre Contra Loma Regional Park shortly before 4 p.m., Contra Costa County Fire Protection District’s Steve Hill said.
