The defendant wrote a series of disturbing posts on social media before and after the 2020 presidential election that ranged from threats to “blow up the FBI building to calls for the “extermination of anyone that claims to be Democrat … as well as their family members,” court papers filed in the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn allege.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. An Annadale man, whose disturbing social media posts allegedly calling for the “extermination” of Democrats and their families after the 2020 presidential election led to his arrest on multiple federal charges, appears poised to plead guilty.

Brian Maiorana, intends to plead guilty.
“Soap Box, Ballot Box…that was fraudulently stolen from us,” Maiorana was quoted writing on Nov. 8, some five days after Election Day. “Now Cartridge Box.”
Maiorana allegedly directed his rage broadly, but he also made an unmistakable and antisemitic reference to Schumer, who later became the Majority Leader of a Senate under Democratic control.
“As the Jew Senator from Jew York said nothing is off the table,” Maiorana allegedly wrote, in an apparent quotation of Schumer’s remarks that “nothing is off the table” in the Democratic party’s unsuccessful effort prevent Supreme Court Justice

A 54-year-old New Jersey man was caught on surveillance video setting fire to a restaurant in New York City last year, officials said.
Asif Raja is seen on the video pouring flammable liquid on tables at the Ignited Restaurant & Lounge on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens on Aug. 4, according to the New York Fire Department and federal charging documents.
Sprinklers in the lounge, which also features Hookah extinguished the blaze before firefighters arrived around 10:15 p.m.
Raja is charged by federal authorities with one count of arson. He faces five to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
