A man from Hay River, N.W.T., has been handed a life sentence for killing an 18-year-old woman four years ago. James Colosimo won’t be eligible for parole for 13 years.
James Colosimo has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of an 18-year-old woman in Hay River, N.W.T., in 2020. His sentencing hearing will take place in the coming months.
James Colosimo's preliminary inquiry was to be held in Hay River this week, but was cancelled after the prosecutor reduced the charge against him from first-degree murder to second-degree murder.
Mental health assessment requested for Hay River man accused of murder
