Breaking news, san jose fire Officials Say they suspect an arsonist is at work again this morning and are offering a 10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Arson investigators are looking into this house fire near 17th street and east st. John. It broke out shortly after 4 00 this morning. A jogger spotted the fire and got elderly neighbors and went to a nearby fire house for help. The fire was on the roof of the old victorian home, and the roof partially collapsed as fire crews tried to climb up there, so they had to back off, then they had to fight the fire from defensive positions outside. Janine de la vega there to share what we just learned about the shots fired during a traffic stop. Good morning, janine. Reporter well, police know who they are looking for but they wont tell us any suspect information. They still do have this area at jacqueline road and esqella parkway blocked off. The officer was making a traffic stop and the driver started shooting at the officer. The officer stopped the car for a moving violation. The officer got out of his car and the driver of the other car did too and started to fire. He fled the location in his vehicle. Reporter again, you heard the driver took off. Now there is a search going on for him. Police have his license plate number and are trying to track him down. But again, they are not releasing any information about what kind of vehicle hes driving or any descrip

Officers are worried he will do it again and could hurt someone. Theyve got him sectioned off on Treasure Island at the shoreline at vista point before that guard house as you pull on to the island. Police dont want anyone diving past him, they say it is too dangerous. They say he has already led police on a high speed chase and fired at them. There are 50 people in San Francisco trying to get home to Treasure Island. They say the red cross is working with them and trying to help them find a place to go they need shelter, food, they are not allowed to go to their homes.
