St Cloud man sentenced for first-degree drug possession

View Comments Editor s note: This weekly report includes new information about Stearns, Benton and Sherburne county criminal cases previously covered in the St. Cloud Times.  Edward Valentine Forsythe, 39, of St. Cloud, was sentenced May 21 to 12 years and six months in prison for one felony count of first-degree drug possession. He was acquitted of a second count of first-degree drug possession. Forsythe was given credit for 241 days served. Judge Nathaniel Welte presided.  David James Cantillo, 35, of Rush City, pleaded guilty May 18 to one felony count of first-degree drug possession. One felony count of fleeing a peace officer was dismissed. In a separate case, Cantillo also pleaded guilty to one felony count of first-degree drug possession or sale. Judge John Scherer presided.
