Ghaziabad: Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Railway) Aligarh Aishwarya Pratap Singh on Thursday rejected the bail petitions of eight accused in two separate child trafficking cases.
In the first case, four men were arrested when they were taking 15 children to Delhi and Punjab in Kamakhya North East Express. All the children are below 14 years of age.
The accused Md Saddam, Premapl, Jameel Akhtar and Vinod Singh were booked under sections 370 (child trafficking), 374 (unlawful compulsory labour) of IPC, relevant sections of the Child Labour Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.
The victims in the case belong to Bulandshahr and Katihar.
The children told the police that the accused were taking them to Delhi and Punjab for “work”.
