A group of different families affected by Peel police-involved shootings will gather for a press conference outside the Special Investigation Unit’s (SIU) headquarters in Mississauga to “to express their outrage about the SIU’s latest verdict”.
On Monday, the SIU found “no basis” to proceed with criminal charges in the death of the 26-year-old Campbell, who was shot and killed by a Peel Regional Police officer while in his family’s Brampton, Ont. home in April.
