Who is Dr Martin J Tobin?
An expert in acute respiratory failure, Dr Martin J Tobin went to medical school at University College Dublin, Ireland from 1969 to 1975. He is also a specialist in mechanical ventilation and neuromuscular control of breathing. Dr Tobin completed his medical residency in Dublin, and undertook fellowship training at Kingâs College Hospital, London, University of Miami, and the University of Pittsburgh.
According to his official bio, he has served as professor of medicine at Hines VA Hospital and Loyola University Medical School in Chicago. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine Subspecialty Pulmonary Disease, he has published several research papers and served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

Rawalpindi: The Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) and Punjab Baitul Maal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to hold social welfare activities in the province.
Punjab Baitul Maal Chairman Malik Azam and Senior Vice President Syed Ehsanullah Waqas signed the MoU at a ceremony that was held at the Al-Khidmat Complex here.
Punjab Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Yawar Abbas Bokhari, Secretary General AKFP Khobaib Bilal, and General Manager Programmes Hammad Akhtar were also present on the occasion.
As per MoU, the two organizations will join hands to work for the welfare of widows, the disabled, women, and the poor segment of the society. In this connection, the AKFP and Punjab Baitul Maal will also distribute sewing machines among deserving women.
