MEMPHIS, Tenn. Throughout the pandemic, the hobby of gardening has bloomed. For people with new or old green thumbs, the Memphis Botanic Garden s annual Spring Plant Sale is now underway.
Annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and every plant you may think up is lined up inside the nursery of the Memphis Botanic Garden.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. There are far fewer cemeteries documented in Shelby County than other large counties in Tennessee, according to a new database being collected by historical preservationists.
In 2018, a new law was passed that led to the creation of the Tennessee Historic Cemetery Preservation Program. Since its creation, more than 31,000 cemeteries have been added to a state database.
“Any down time I may have, I actually spend time working on the state cemetery database, Graham Perry said, a cemetery preservation program specialist who oversees the state program.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. The new Hyatt Centric hotel at the corner of Beale Street and Front Street mixes old and new Memphis and will be bringing the first of its kind amenities to Downtown Memphis.
The Hyatt Centric, which is one phase of the One Beale development project, opens on April 15 for its first guests.
The hotel, located at 33 Beale Street, is the first to bare a Beale Street address.
With seven floors, it boasts 227 rooms, a restaurant, a grab-and-go market space, a whiskey-themed rooftop bar and wraparound patio, a pool with cabanas and more.
