Jalin Deandre Gardner, 27, and Dreveon Deshawn Harris, 20, both of Detroit, Mich., are each charged in district court in Mountrail County with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl in Parshall on Thursday and Class C felony tampering with physical evidence.
Both were scheduled to make an initial appearance in the case on Friday before Judge Gary Lee. Both are in custody at the Mountrail County Jail in Stanley.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, MHA Drug Enforcement had obtained a search warrant to search apartments behind the Taco Bell in Parshall and found Gardner and Harris trying to flush fentanyl pills down the toilet. The tribal officers detained Gardner and Harris and contacted the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office to take custody of them because neither Gardner or Harris are enrolled tribal members.
