OPINION: Town of Concord bird count January 2021 Peter Alden Our annual winter bird life census, begun in 1960, was held Jan. 3. Eleven field parties and dozens of feeder watchers involving about 80 citizens were involved. A total of around 10,700 individuals of 69 species were seen or heard. Twenty-four species had a hundred or more sighted. In descending sequence these are our commonest birds this winter. How many can you recognize?
