Hyderabad: A cow went on a rampage in Hyderabad on Friday goring a senior citizen to death and injuring four others, including a veterinary doctor from Nehru Zoological Park who had come to help in controlling the rabid animal.
According to the police the incident occurred in Pahadishareef area of Hyderabad after the cow started behaving abnormally for a couple of days.
The cow, which mostly roamed around in the same area, started attacking passers-by days after it was bitten by a rabid dog.
Mohammed Khaja, 65, became the victim of the rabid animal’s attack and was seriously injured. He later succumbed to injuries at a local hospital. “My father had gone out for a walk when the cow attacked and gored him. He fell down with serious injuries and died,” his son Mohammed Moin said.
