KOTA KINABALU: A car passenger was killed after the vehicle crashed into a roadside garbage collection site in Sabah’s east coast Sandakan district on Tuesday (May 2).

TAWAU: A pedestrian was killed after an Isuzu Dmax ploughed into him as he was crossing a road at Kg Iban, Jalan Tawau-Kalabakan, Friday.
Tawau Police Chief, ACP Peter Umbuas, identified the victim as Lasappek Lakubek, 60, a lorry driver addressed at Sandakan.
The Dmax’s 31-year-old driver and 29-year-old passenger, who both worked as mechanics, escaped unscathed.

Initial investigations showed that the vehicle was heading towards Kalabakan from Bandar Tawau when the 7pm mishap occured.
