KUANTAN, Jan 26 The Pahang Public Works Department (JKR) estimates that RM356 million is needed to repair all roads and bridges damaged by the floods that hit the state for more than two weeks starting January 3.
Pahang Works, Transportation and Health Committee chairman Datuk Seri Norolazali Sulaiman said overall, damages at 368 locations involving federal roads, state roads and bridges had been identified with Temerloh and Maran being the worst affected districts.
KUANTAN (Bernama): Police confirm that a total of 13 vehicles were trapped between two landslides along Jalan Raub-Bukit Fraser (Fraser’s Hill), about 230km from here at around 1.30pm Sunday (Jan 3) afternoon.
Raub OCPD Supt Kama Azural Mohamed said that all of them were believed to have been trapped after not being able to proceed due to the landslide at KM2 of the road, and unable to return to Fraser’s Hill due to another landslide at KM4 of the same road. No casualties were reported. Currently, a number of people have been brought back to Fraser’s Hill with the help of police and villagers, after they walked across the area blocked by the landslides.
KUALA LUMPUR – Motorists are advised not to take the risk of driving through flooded roads to avoid untoward incidents.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Azisman Alias said the public must prioritise their safety since many roads were flooded and the fast water flows could be disasterous.

“Road users need to be careful and do not take the risk of continuing with their journey if the roads they are travelling on are under water.
“Be careful during this flood season. If there is no need to go out, just stay at home,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

KUANTAN, Jan 3 Police confirmed that a total of 13 vehicles were trapped between two landslides along Jalan Raub-Bukit Fraser (Fraser’s Hill), about 230 kilometres from here, which was believed to have occurred around 1.30pm this afternoon.
Raub district police chief Supt Kama Azural Mohamed said that all of them were believed to be trapped after not being able to proceed due to the landslide at KM2 of the road, and unable to return to Fraser’s Hill due to another landslide at KM4 of the same road.
