Published on: Thursday, January 14, 2021 By: FMT Text Size: PETALING JAYA: The number of Covid-19 infections hit a new record high just two days into the new movement control order, with the health ministry reporting 3,337 cases as well as 15 deaths in the past 24 hours. There were 1,036 cases in Selangor alone and 257 in Kuala Lumpur, both of which are under MCO 2.0. Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,710 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 113,288 cases. ADVERTISEMENT In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 147,855. There are 33,989 active cases with 195 patients being treated in intensive care and 86 requiring respiratory assistance.
