KUCHING: A street fight that took place at Jalan Green here on Feb 14 (Valentine’s Day) has led to the detection of one of two new clusters in Sarawak.
Deputy chief minister Douglas Uggah Embas said up to 130 police officers and personnel were now undergoing mandatory quarantine.

He said the index cases for the Jalan Green Cluster were case number 7,093 and 7,094 involving detainees.
“As of noon today, a total of 148 people have been screened where six of them tested positive and 112 still awaiting their results,” he told a press conference here today.
KUCHING: A new Covid-19 cluster in Sarawak has been linked to a group of men arrested for a fight on Valentine s Day.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas said the index cases of the Jalan Green cluster were two of the detainees who were screened following their arrest on Feb 14.
He said the tracing and screening of contacts resulted in four more positive cases for a total of six confirmed cases in the cluster to date. As of noon on Feb 19,148 individuals had been screened of which 30 tested negative and 112 are awaiting results, he said at the state disaster management committee s briefing here on Friday (Feb 19).

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
In a statement, he said 10 were workplace clusters, two community clusters and one high-risk cluster,

The clusters were detected in Johor, Selangor, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu.
Five clusters were detected in Johor, and two each in Sarawak, Terengganu and Selangor. Kuala Lumpur and Sabah reported one cluster each.
The 13 new clusters are:
Selangor:
- Kompleks Perabut – a workplace cluster in Kuala Langat. The first few cases tested positive today after a targeted screening of factory workers in BantingSome 287 people were screened, 21 of whom tested positive.
