MULTAN: The Punjab government Wednesday started administering coronavirus vaccine doses to people over 60 years of age at in Multan division and south Punjab districts. In the Multan division the authorities have established twenty centres for the purpose. Talking to reporters, health officials said 20 vaccination centres had been established in Multan division, including eight centres in Mulan district, six in Multan city and one each in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shujabad and Jalalpur Pirwala. In Multan city the vaccination centers are established at Muhamamd Shahbaz Sharif DHQ hospital, Nishtar Hospital, Multan Institute of Cardiology and Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Dental. The Multan district has received 5,850 coronavirus vaccine doses and more stock is expected to reach soon. MULTAN: The city district administration teams Wednesday retrieved 18-kanal state land from squatters in Jalalpur Pirwala. According to officials, following the directives of higher authorities the city administration teams launched an operation and recovered the land worth more than Rs 172.3m. The teams demolished all walls by heavy machinery.
ET&NC seize documents of 85 vehicles:The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control (ET&NC) Department on Wednesday seized documents of 85 vehicles during a general hold up in the city on different violations.The action was taken against the vehicles having no registration, short on token tax payment and those running on open transfer letters. Two ET&NC teams established pickets at all the four entry points of city and in the walled city where they checked vehicles and found 85 of them violating rules. Motorway Police Installs Advanced Speed Cameras on M5 Motorway
The National Highway and Motorway Police have reportedly installed advanced surveillance equipment on the M5 highway between Sukkur and Multan to curb the menace of overspeeding.
The surveillance equipment consists of advanced speed cameras that capture sharp and detailed images of the overspeeding vehicle for the authorities to take prompt action.
The cameras have reportedly been placed on various key-spots of the M5 motorway that will monitor the traffic 24/7 and capture the images of the vehicles that are observed overspeeding or being driven recklessly.
The entire system operates automatically, such that if a car is found overspeeding or breaking traffic rules on the motorway, the system shall deduct the challan from the driver by itself.

MULTAN: The district administration sealed two illegal mini petrol pumps and imposed fine over Rs 90,000 on eight other petrol pumps for selling substandard oil and low measurement here on Sunday.
In line with special directives of DC Amir Khattak, Jalalpur Pirwala AC Mudasar Mumtaz along with officers of concerned departments conducted raids at various locations to check measurement, quality of oil and legal documents of petrol pumps. The officer sealed two illegal mini petrol pumps and got registered separate cases against owners Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Zeeshan.
The team also removed dispensers and points and took into custody while tanks of both pumps have also been sealed in which there was 1,200 litres petrol. Meanwhile, Shujabad AC M Zubair conducted raids at various locations and checked 20 petrol pumps out of which over charging, low measurement and low quality found in eight petrol pumps.
