Shades of Blue is about finding and experiencing a connection with nature. It’s about Wara Wayinnga, a dune system that is special part of the Kaurna coastline that is still home to a plethora of native flora and fauna. Atop the system of dunes one is surrounded by various shades of blue from the ocean, sky, and Adelaide hills.
“The current climate with the pandemic and lots of isolation and staying at home has forced me, and I would say a lot of people, to seek connection with nature more than we normally would. Because connecting with nature is really good for our mental health and our physical health. So for me, this was going down to the beach and walking, experiencing the sound and sensations of nature, and quite near my home is a very special reserve - the Tennyson Dunes - Wara Wayinnga.”
