President Preckwinkle Extends Application Deadline for $73 Million Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program
COOK COUNTY – Today, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development and the Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) announced the application deadline extension for the Cook County Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance program. Effective today, applications will be accepted through Friday, April 9, at 5:00 pm. The decision to extend the program comes on the heels of the applicants requiring more technical supports from housing agencies. Applicants who don’t have access to computers and rely heavily on smart phones need more time to gather documents needed to complete the application process, said Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle.
