It’s never a good day when objects that cannot be compressed are introduced into your car’s engine cylinders.
This is especially true when that car is one of the most anticipated sports cars to come out of Detroit in years. When it happens with fewer than 100 kilometres on the clock, it’s nearly apocalyptic.
However, that’s exactly what happened to one Michael Crummer. In a Facebook post made January 18, the man shows a new Corvette hoisted skyward with a big hole where most of its important internals should lie.

A quick glance at the other pictures in the album show a completely grenaded small-block LT2 V8 engine, with a valve embedded in a piston and sticking out at a jaunty angle. Oh dear.
