Le Mars Community Theatre performs again after more than a year

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) - After more than a year of being shut down because of the pandemic, the Le Mars Community Theatre is back, but it s not at its usual venue.
The theatre debuted the show Jake Revolver, Freelance Secret Agent, tonight at the Plymouth County Historical Museum, on the stage of the Old Central Gym.
Leaders with the theatre say their usual venue at the postal playhouse has an occupancy of 108, and if they held the show there, they wouldn t be able to appropriately social distance.
LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) - It s back to the stage for the actors of the Le Mars Community Theatre.
The group is presenting its first production since the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, Jake Revolver: Freelance Secret Agent.
The show opens at 7 p.m. May 6 at the Plymouth County Historical Museum. Performances continue at 7 p.m. on May 7 and May 8 and at 2 p.m. on May 9.
In this radio noir play, set in the 1940s, private detective Jake Revolver fights against conspiracy, double cross and self-reference to uncover the killer of his own narrator.
The setting is the premiere episode of a live radio broadcast, complete with foley artistry and on-stage stand-up microphones.
