Oshkosh: Jason White leaves Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corp

OSHKOSH – Jason White, Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation CEO, announced Tuesday he will resign from the organization. White will leave next month after he accepted a position closer to his family in Iowa, according to a press release from the organization. Oshkosh Economic Development Board Chair Ken Arneson will lead the transition. Arneson is also CEO of Evergreen Retirement Community. “Jason’s efforts to take care of area companies, entrepreneurs, and build workforce resulted in creating a stronger region,” Arneson said in a statement. “The organization has a talented team and enjoys important community support. The board wishes Jason well and will actively seek a new leader for Greater Oshkosh.”

Meteorologists say the outlook for spring flooding is normal but warn of potential rollercoaster weather from the La Niña weather pattern as spring begins in Wisconsin. Kurt Kotenberg, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Green Bay, said lake and river levels, snowfall totals and frost depths are the same or lower than last year, making the threat of flooding on par with average seasons.

Nekoosa shooting: Police arrest woman on Cranmoor Road in Wood County

NEKOOSA – Police arrested a 50-year-old woman Tuesday after a 63-year-old man was shot in Wood County. Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a home on Cranmoor Road in Nekoosa for a report of a man who was shot, according to Nekoosa police. Officials said police arrested a 50-year-old woman, and she was booked into Wood County Jail on suspicion of attempted second degree intentional homicide and endangering safety with a deadly weapon.
