The Euro 2020 final between England and Italy was viewed by 30.95 million people across the country tuning in to watch the game.
As the match took place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (July 11), it was being broadcast by both the BBC and ITV.
Ratings peaked during extra time, though an average of 29.85m watched the whole game.
The BBC saw a high of 25m viewers while a further 6m tuned in on ITV. Overnight figures also don t include those who watched the event on catch-up services like ITV Hub and iPlayer, meaning the final figure will be even higher.
