Henderson police: Felon charged in Woodland Apartment shooting
HENDERSON, Ky. A Henderson man who was previously sentenced to 10 years in 2018 has been arrested in relation to the shooting at Woodland Apartments last Wednesday.
Henderson police charged Thomas Murphy, 28, Reed, with first-degree wanton endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
HPD Detective Jake Isonhood said Murphy is accused of shooting at a resident of Woodland Apartments amid a fight with his girlfriend.
The detective said in an interview with the alleged suspect, Murphy told authorities that during an argument he had grabbed his girlfriend to try to speak with her. He said she had asked him to leave, and he believed that because of the conflict, she d called someone to come over.
HENDERSON, Ky. A minor shot overnight is in critical but stable condition, according to police.
A female juvenile was shot in the neck in the 1400 block of Woodland Drive shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, the Henderson Police Department said in a news release.
Police arrested Jacob Willingham, 24, who is being held at the Henderson County Detention Center without bond. Willingham faces preliminary charges for second-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
