With Assam government tabling Cattle Preservation Bill, 2021 in state assembly, opposition Congress alleged this Bill is nothing but a ploy to divert attention from the Government’s failures in COVID management and vaccination.
Once passed, it will replace the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 1950. Lok Sabha MP and Congress leader, Gaurav Gogoi said, Congress has been speaking about protection of cows for a long time now.
