The library has books on subjects of religion, history, philosophy, animal science among others
VADODARA: In a bid to connect the oriental world with the modern world, one of the oldest libraries of Vadodara will now be open to public once every week.
The Mukti Kamal Mohan Jain Gyanbhandar which is housed above the Kothipol Jain temple in Raopura was until recently a members-only library. But now anyone can walk into this 92-year-old library on a Sunday and read any book from their collection of around 14,000.
“The purpose of a library is to spread knowledge and knowledge has no boundaries, so we have decided to keep the library open for everyone on Sundays,” said Prakash Sheth, the managing trustee.
