ATLANTA – No. 20 Florida State (18-12, 7-7 ACC) outlasted Georgia Tech (20-12, 6-8) Saturday at Mac Nease Park, beating the Yellow Jackets 9-6 to even the weekend series. James Tibbs and Alex Toral both homered for the Seminoles, and Jonah Scolaro was perfect against five hitters to earn his third save of the season.

Tibbs hit a two-run home run that gave FSU the lead in the first inning, while Toral’s three-run blast gave FSU a 6-4 lead after Georgia Tech jumped in front in the fifth inning. Jaime Ferrer added a two-run single in the ninth inning that gave FSU a three-run lead.
Davis Hare (1-0) earned the win, allowing two runs in 2.2 innings in relief of Bryce Hubbart. Jonah Scolaro entered in the eighth inning with two runners on base and one out, but got out of that inning unscathed before working a perfect ninth.
Hubbart allowed four runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings of work.

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech (20-11, 6-7 ACC) had six runs and 10 hits in the first three innings en route to a 7-3 win over No. 20 Florida State (17-12, 6-7) Friday night at Russ Chandler Stadium.

Parker Messick (4-2) was tagged with the loss, allowing 10 hits and six runs in 2.2 innings.
Conner Whittaker allowed a solo home run over 2.2 innings, the second-longest outing of his career. Dylan Simmons set career-highs with 1.2 innings pitched and three strikeouts, and Dylan Jacobs pitched a scoreless eighth inning. Combined the bullpen allowed just one run on six hits in 5.1 innings.
Kevin Parada got the scoring started with a two-run home run in the first inning, one of four hits for the Yellow Jackets in the frame. The Seminoles cut the lead in half in the second inning against Chance Huff (3-1) when Brett Roberts doubled and scored on Alex Toral’s groundout.
Georgia Tech took control with four more runs off Messick in the third inning.

TALLAHASSEE – Pinch hitter Jackson Greene hit a game-tying two-run home run in the ninth inning, and Jordan Carrion singled home Brett Roberts in the 12th inning as Florida State (17-11) tallied a 5-4 win over Stetson (16-12) Wednesday night at Dick Howser Stadium.
Carson Montgomery struck out a career-high 13 batters over 6.1 innings, the fourth Seminole starting pitcher this season with a 13-strikeout game.

Behind Montgomery, Jonah Scolaro, Jackson Baumeister, Davis Hare and Wyatt Crowell (2-0) added 12 strikeouts. FSU’s 25 strikeouts were one shy of the school record of 26, set last month over 17 innings against NC State.
