The VMI track and field teams completed the VMI Winter Classic with excellent times and marks Saturday at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
Senior sprinter Ariana Ruffin led the Keydet women with a first-place mark in the women’s 200 meter in 24.83. She was pursued closely by teammate Ahliyah Williams, who came in fourth in the race in 25.78.

Looking for continued improvement preparing for the SoCon Championships, the VMI track and field teams performed well on the first day of the VMI Winter Classic Friday afternoon at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
Senior Ariana Ruffin came in first in the women’s 400 meter in 57.08 and was followed by juniors Marissa Linkous in second (58.98) and Ahliyah Williams in third at 59.48 seconds.

The VMI track and field teams showed continued improvement wrapping up the second day of competition at the VMI Winter Relays held Saturday at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
Senior Ariana Ruffin earned a first-place finish in the women’s 200-meter in 24.85 seconds and teammate Nia Vaughan came in seventh overall in 27.01.
