One month ago, unknown suspects broke into a rental home on Mayfield Road in Caledon and shot three people. Jagtar Sidhu and his wife, Harbhajan Sidhu, died from their gunshot wounds. The third victim remains in stable condition. The son of the victims, who was at work during the incident, confirmed that his family had no involvement in the trucking operation that previously caused legal trouble for the property owner.
Police believe multiple people were involved in the incident, with one person seen entering a black pickup truck travelling west on Mayfield Road. Investigators believe the pickup truck was later involved in a vehicle fire on Olde Baseline Road and Creditview Road.
