Bhopal: Jagran Lakecity University (JLU), central India’s Global University, established in 2013, recently concluded celebrations to mark eight years of its establishment. The Foundation Day of JLU, celebrated with the theme of ‘Educating with a Vision’, featured a series of high spirited, virtual events led by the students, staff, and alumni. The university in addition to Foundation Day celebrations took the opportunity to launch JLUET; the Online Entrance Test for UG & PG degrees on offer at the university.
Some of the world-renowned personalities present included, Nirav Khambati, Partner at Kaizen Private Equity, who added that, “In such a short time, JLU has taken giant strides in the world of higher education and I have no doubt that in the future, JLU will scale and reach new heights”. Making up for 90% of NDA, How BJP Cemented its Position as a One-party Govt
Twenty months into power in its second term, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has witnessed a visible transformation. The BJP makes up more than 90 per cent of the NDA (302 of 334 Lok Sabha members), with just one minister of state from outside the BJP in the Union council of ministers.
Though it formally continues as an NDA government, all the ministers with cabinet rank belong to the BJP. When the present NDA government started its second term, three of the cabinet ministers and one minister of state hailed from the non-BJP NDA. Over the past 20 months, two of the cabinet ministers from outside the BJP resigned when their parties left the coalition and one passed away, and has not yet been replaced.
