I’m not from a military family. My grandpa served in WWII, but that stint of service didn’t shape my upbringing I never had the chance to meet him, and few people in my life had deep ties to any branch of the armed services. Simply put, military service was just something that I thought other people would do. That’s probably true of most young Americans: just 33% of those under 30 say they have an immediate family member who served in the military.
Adrienne Tuck has always had an eye on the importance of revitalizing cities and building strong downtown spaces.Â
âI grew up in Dallas and my dad was in commercial real estate,â said Tuck, director of business development for W.E. OâNeil Construction Company in Colorado Springs.
âCommercial real estate is kind of a boom-and-bust industry. He taught me a lot about the hard work and grit that are needed to survive in that industry. He instilled in me the importance of having a vibrant, strong downtown core.Â
âGrowing up in Dallas in the â90s, we lived about 10 minutes away from downtown. ⦠It was a really economically depressed area. After 5 oâclock, you would not want to be down there, and you certainly wouldnât want to hang out there nights and weekends.
in this case one of the prosecutors was removed for what appears to be allegations that he actually interfered with the attorney/client privilege of the defendant by putting an electronic monitor on their emails and maybe other things as well so that the case gets really complicated by that. in general, the jag corps has the highest ethics. that would never happen. this is unusual. i think the president s role in this is also unusual. it is clearly command influence that should not have happened. his involvement is wrong. and he is punishing whistle-blowers and rewarding someone who clearly did something wrong. even if all that he is convicted of posing is a bad thing. we know he did much more than that. the facts of the trial where you have someone on the stand sort of changing his testimony and
but if it s true there was interference with the defense relationship with the defendant, then that would be a very bad thing, for which the prosecutor should probably be disbarred and maybe there should be some military action from the jag corps against him. what will happen is still unknown. but this is so disturbing that you have a man who was not charged with war crimes, per se, and wasn t charged with all of these other actions that would have been absolutely a violation of everything the military stands for. they are trained to defend and protect us, not to kill civilians and to kill prisoners of war. and we still don t really know who killed this particular person, but there are now allegations that gallagher murdered other people and i think that has to be investigated. the military is taking action in terms of the jag corps, the navy is looking at their processes
