The Jefferson City Lady Jays came to the first day of the Class 1 girls wrestling state championships with a pair of qualifiers. Both girls will be back for Day 2. Lexi Dunwiddie won both matches in her 130-pound bracket to reach the semifinals, while Kyla Finney posted a 2-1 record at 190 to move into the third-round wrestlebacks Wednesday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.
Lexi Dunwiddie and Kyla Finney are looking for podium finishes when they represent the Jefferson City Lady Jays in the Class 1 girls wrestling state championships, which start at 1:15 p.m. today at Mizzou Arena.
