As COVID-19 restrictions loosen, bars and restaurants are opening their doors to customers, but also giving them space outside to relax and listen to music.
A handful of area establishments have plans for regular outdoor sets, including RiverHaven Events Center, Fargo Brewing Co., Edgewood Tavern, Pub West, Tailgators, Brewbird, Granite City and the new 701 restaurant and rooftop lounge.
"Going to a barbershop shouldn’t be like the DMV," owner Branden Ashmore says. He's working on creating a small-town vibe, where customers can hang out, have a beer, and talk about hunting, fishing and motorcycles.

Next to Nice Barber is The Lounge, which will be available for meetings and other small gatherings.
The Hall event space is “going to be such a big thing for us, and for the community,” Hill said. “This whole project was based around the ability to have concerts inside. We just booked our first wedding dance for June. A lot of opportunities for that space. I think it will be cool.”
The building was built in 1941 as Fargo Tractor and Equipment, Hill said, and the renovation retains the industrial character of the building.

FARGO As he gets closer to his 40th birthday, Jonny Lang’s career has hit a “Red Light.”
The singer and guitarist’s manager, Steve Karas, announced in a news release Tuesday morning, Jan. 12, that due to concerns over the health of Lang’s voice, all of his upcoming appearances were canceled.
