GOSHEN Police were searching on Wednesday night for a person who fled into the woods after a single-vehicle crash in the afternoon, according to state police.
The car crashed at about 3 p.m. at the intersection of Route 116 and Cummington Road in Ashfield after failing to stop for police, according to State Police Trooper Brandon Doherty. The search, conducted by Ashfield and State Police, remained ongoing as of 9 p.m.
Two people fled from the car into the surrounding woods after the crash, Doherty said, and one found and arrested at about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Route 9 in Goshen.
