Authorities seeking public s help to identify vehicle that injured Kearny bicyclist in hit-and-run

By John Heinis/Hudson County View The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a hit-and-run incident in which a 44-year-old woman was struck and seriously injured while cycling on Routes 1 & 9 South in Kearny around this morning, County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement. The driver who struck her fled the scene and members of the Kearny Police Department responded to the area, which is near Jacobus Avenue, just before 8 a.m., on reports of a cyclist struck with serious injuries. The victim, a 44-year-old Harrison woman, was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where she is listed in critical but stable condition.

Authorities in Hudson County are asking the public s help identifying a vehicle that injured a 44-year-old bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash Friday.The female cyclist was riding on Routes 1&9 south when the driver hit her near Jacobus.
