A 16-year-old girl was saved by a good Samaritan from a violent attack in the middle of a Colorado street earlier this week.
The unnamed good Samaritan reported to police at 12:23 p.m. Thursday that a man later identified as 39-year-old Jacobo Wright Mendoza, of Drake and a girl, who was not named, were standing outside of a car in the middle of a Glen Haven road, according to a press release from the Larimer County Sheriff s Office.
Drake Man Arrested for Kidnapping, Attempted Murder
Thanks to the help of a vigilant citizen, a Drake resident was arrested on Thursday, after kidnapping and attempting to murder a 16-year-old female.
At approximately 12:23 p.m. on July 15, the Larimer County Sheriff s Office Communications Center received an emergency request for law enforcement s assistance. The request came via radio broadcast, from a volunteer firefighter at the Glen Haven Fire Station, located at 7320 County Road 43. The report that was provided to the firefighter came from an eyewitness who saw a frightening incident unfold nearby.
The witness originally noticed a black Chevy sedan parked in the middle of County Road 43. A male and female were reportedly standing behind the vehicle, and it appeared that the female was in distress. The young woman was also yelling for help.
