Police are investigating the Monday-evening discovery of a dead woman in the Hawthorne Suites at 8737 Baymeadows Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office said.
Officers were called to the hotel about 6 p.m. after a 911 call reported someone was injured in one of the rooms at the hotel at Baymeadows Way, Sgt. Jacob Vorpahl said.
Officers got into the room and found the woman dead from unknown injuries, Vorpahl said. The investigation is in preliminary stages, but foul play is possible, he said.
