De Klomp Wooden Shoe and Delftware Factory near Holland showcases wooden-shoe hand carvers who, with the help of a machine that is 125 to 150 years old, produce the wooden "clogs" for footwear, decoration and traditional Dutch dancing.
Holland's De Klomp Wooden Show and Delftware Factory is one of the United States' only Dutch clog producers, as well as the only complete producer of Delftware pottery in North America.
Tulip Time is just around the corner. A big part of the festival traditions are the wooden shoes you see the dancers wear in the parade. The shoes are called 'klompen' or 'clogs' and De Klomp Wooden Shoe & Delftware Factory in Holland still makes the shoes the old fashioned way.
