A preliminary report from the Lucas County Coroner shows a St Marys infant died of hyperthermia
The Lucas County Coroner has issued a preliminary report concerning the June 13th death of 1 year old Ceicila A. Harting of St Marys. According to a published report in the Lima News, a one page preliminary report states the child died of hyperthermia, as a result of being left in a hot car for possibly hours. Hyperthermia is defined as a condition of having a body temperature greatly above normal. The complete autopsy will be filed at a later date. St Marys Police Chief Jacob Sutton informed WCSM this week that the investigation has been turned over to the Auglaize county’s Prosecutor’s office. The Prosecutor’s office has not issued any statements concerning the status of the investigation.
