Jacob is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Afghanistan in the early 2000’s as part of a Civil Affairs team. After his service, which included a stint at the Presidio of Monterey Defense Language Institute where he studied Arabic, Jacob relocated to New York City. In New York he worked for the New York Times and several other companies before joining forces with
SOFREP as Editor in Chief.
