Searchers from Houston are combing a Matagorda County river for a missing Huntsville man who disappeared in the water when his boat capsized while night fishing with a friend.
Members of Texas EquuSearch many of whom knew the missing man descended on the Colorado River, near where it meets Matagorda Bay, at day break to find 24-year-old Jacob Langley. Langley was thrown from the fishing vessel when it hit a submerged log while heading back to shore, relatives said.
The ship capsized around 2:30 a.m. Saturday about 30 feet from the boat ramp. A crew member died in the incident, while Texas Park and Wildlife Department officials rescued three other passengers, authorities said.
