OXFORD, Miss. On Monday afternoon, Ole Miss baseball head coach Mike Bianco held his weekly zoom call with reporters. Here are news and notes from the call:
On the weather conditions in Texas and Mississippi causing problems for the upcoming trip to Arlington:
“It does throw a little bit of a curveball to our travel and ops people trying to figure out how we’re going to get there. The good news is we’re going to play. It’s a dome, (but) we just need to get there. They’re getting some weather on Wednesday; we’re getting it on Wednesday as well. One of our biggest issues is getting the buses that have the gear on it, getting them there. That’s probably the biggest obstacle right now.”

The iconic Clydesdale horses pull Santa on Saturday night during the Norman Christmas Holiday Parade at Andrews Park. The parade was dubbed a âreverse parade,â with entrants stationed inside the park and residents driving to see the floats.Reese Gorman / The Transcript
Although Normanâs annual Christmas celebrations looked different, the spirit and joy surrounding them were the same Saturday night.
With a line stretching miles down Main Street to see the Netflix Christmas lights and a line circling the entire perimeter of Andrews Park for the annual Norman Christmas Holiday Parade, Christmas spirits were at a high.
âIt looks lovely,â Jess Crothers said as she was walking down Main Street looking at the lights. âIâm happy to see people coming out enjoying it, and especially since itâs something you can do in a mask and stay socially distanced. Itâs something you can feel safe doing with your family.â
