Arbor Week: Tree giveaways in communities throughout the state

Arbor Week is celebrated in Alabama the last full week of February.
Over 4,000 trees were given away during Arbor Day celebrations in Jacksonville and Anniston through community partnerships with Alabama Power.
In Montgomery, winners of the annual Governor’s Arbor Day poster contest will gather Thursday, Feb. 25 on the Capitol grounds.
The city of Hoover’s Arbor Day giveaway is Saturday, March 6 at Aldridge Gardens from 9 a.m. until noon.
