After months of quiet stages, fans are starting to return to Northeast Florida concert venues. Numbers are still a shadow of what they were before the pandemic, and big acts haven t returned to the road, but live music is back.
We attended four shows at four area venues a rock show by the Allman Betts Band on Feb. 6 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, a Christian show headlined by TobyMac on Feb. 10 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, a Jacksonville Symphony performance on Feb. 19 at the Times-Union Center and a reggae show by the Wailers featuring Julian Marley on Feb. 20 at the Florida Theatre to see how fans and venue staff handle the COVID restrictions that were put into place to keep everyone safe.
