Plans to build an around-the-clock concrete plant at Sydneyâs Glebe Island are being fought by nearby residents who say it is at odds with the Berejiklian governmentâs plans to redevelop White Bay into a waterfront destination.
The proposed concrete batching plant would consist of six silos, 34-metres tall, built to contain sand and cement inside a partially covered warehouse, with an enclosed conveyor belt, next to Anzac Bridge.

The facility would operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with as many as 182 truck movements per hour.
