JACKSON, MI – It’s lonely being a mall Santa during the COVID-19 pandemic.
People aren’t bringing their children and when kids do show up, everyone needs to stay distanced and wear a mask, said the Santa at Jackson’s Westwood Mall this year.
“You can’t really (feel the Christmas spirit),” he said. “Or at least I don’t feel it. The Christmas spirit is around you, but people are scared. People are afraid to come in. Before I’d have a lot a of visitors, now I have very few visitors and very few photos.”
